a little history.

Bride Pride began the same way a lot of good things do - with a simple conversation between two women in love.

Years ago, while living in Provincetown and running our beloved inn, Roux Provincetown, we decided we wanted to renew our vows during Women’s Week. But somewhere between morning coffee, cocktails on the porch, and dreaming out loud, the idea got bigger.

What if we invited other women to join us? Not just a few friends. Not just a small ceremony.

What if we leaned all the way into love and invited every woman on the planet to either get married or renew their vows - with us?

And just like that, Bride Pride was born.

What began as a heartfelt idea quickly became something much bigger than anyone expected.

People came - from local to international. Hundreds of women gathered beneath the Provincetown sky, standing side by side, publicly and joyfully declaring their love for one another during the height of Women’s Week.

Some were getting legally married for the very first time. Others were recommitting after years - sometimes decades - together. Some came from nearby, some traveled across the country.

There were tears. Wild cheering. A town celebration. Complete strangers hugging each other like old friends. Couples who had waited their whole lives for a moment that finally felt possible.

And something extraordinary happened. Bride Pride became more than a ceremony.

It became:

  • a celebration of LGBTQ+ love

  • a gathering of community

  • a joyful act of visibility

  • and a moment in history

Yes, there were headlines. Yes, there was talk of Guinness World Records. But what stayed with people most was the feeling.

The feeling of being surrounded by hundreds of women all choosing love at the same time. So much love, we decided to do it in Provincetown twice.

Now, Bride Pride begins its next chapter in St. Petersburg, Florida. And honestly, St. Pete feels like the perfect place.

Creative. Joyful. Inclusive. Bold. A city that knows how to celebrate individuality and community in equal measure.

Bride Pride St. Pete will once again invite couples from across the planet to gather together for a shared ceremony experience unlike anything else, whether you’re saying “I do” for the first time or saying it all over again.
